Our SRPS Program Night is Thursday, April 25 at 6:30 pm:
“Photographing the Coastal Redwoods”, featuring Ralph Nordstrom.
He will present an in-depth exploration of the Coastal Redwoods of Northern California—their grandeur, history, the environment in which they live and thrive and the best practices for photographing them. He will review the importance of using histograms and the useful camera settings. The program will end with a slideshow that will present some of the opportunities that are available in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, Del Norte Redwoods State Park, and Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park.
Ralph has been teaching and leading photography workshops since 2008 and presented a program for us last spring entitled “The Shoulders on which we Stand.” He will also be leading a workshop June 4-7, 2024 on “Photographing the Coastal Redwoods” based out of Crescent City, CA. Ralph is also offering a 15% discount if three members get together and come as a group. I have already signed up. It would be great to have a few of us shooting!
